| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.005, Education Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (h) to read as follows: | ||
| (h) For purposes of this section, a school district's | ||
| average daily attendance includes a home-schooled student who takes | ||
| one or more courses from the district. The commissioner shall adopt | ||
| rules as necessary to administer this subsection. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
