BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 1.34(b), Chapter 626, Acts of the 73rd | ||
Legislature, Regular Session, 1993, is amended to read as follows: | ||
(b) Water withdrawn from the aquifer must be used within: | ||
(1) the boundaries of the authority; or | ||
(2) the geographic area of a certificate of | ||
convenience and necessity: | ||
(A) as the certificate of convenience and | ||
necessity existed on September 1, 2023; and | ||
(B) any part of which was located within the | ||
boundaries of the authority on June 28, 1996. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
