| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 301, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 301.073 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 301.073. IMPLICIT BIAS TRAINING. (a) Each house of | ||
| the legislature shall require each member of that house and each | ||
| employee of that house to complete training on implicit bias at | ||
| least once every two years. | ||
| (b) The member or employee shall submit to the applicable | ||
| house a statement verifying that the member or employee completed | ||
| the training. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
