relating to the regulation of slaughterers by certain counties. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 234.032, Local Government Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 234.032. APPLICABILITY. This subchapter applies only | ||
in the unincorporated area of a county if the county: | ||
(1) contains, wholly or partly, two or more | ||
municipalities with a population of 250,000 or more; or | ||
(2) is a county adjacent to a county described by | ||
Subdivision (1). | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
