| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 84.002, Election Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) The secretary of state shall take action to alert voters | ||
| that the information required by Subsection (a)(1-a) does not | ||
| include the voter's unique identifier. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
