No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the verification of the veteran status of persons confined in county jails. The bill would also require county sheriffs to submit a daily report to the Texas Veterans Commission. It is assumed that the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
