Summary

As enacted, adds $1.00 privilege tax on criminal cases to fund grants for a 24-hour a day victim information and notification system to be operated by the Tennessee sheriff's association; requires that upon initial deposit of $34,000 into the victim notification fund, the $1.00 tax provided for in this act be allocated to the department of revenue for defrayal of computer-related expenses required by this act. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 38 and Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 6.
