Summary

Subject to local approval, makes changes to the duties of the mayor; reduces the term of the mayor and vice mayor from four years to two; provides a method to fill vacancies on the board if the vacancies cause the board to lack a quorum; authorizes the board to set the salary of the board members by ordinance; revises the powers of the city; authorizes the appointment of a treasurer and town administrator; requires the town judge to be a licensed attorney. - Amends Chapter 272 of the Acts of 1901; as amended and rewritten.
