Summary
As introduced, authorizes commissioned reserve deputy sheriffs authorized in writing by sheriff and reserve police officers authorized in writing by chief of police to carry firearms on and off duty to same extent as full-time law enforcement officers. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 8; Title 38 and Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13.
