Summary
As introduced, requires that driver education courses in public schools include instruction on the dangers of using hand-held mobile telephones or personal digital assistants to transmit or read a message; requires that students be apprised of the delinquent act, and penalty, to knowingly operate a motor vehicle and use a mobile phone or personal digital assistant equipped with a hands-free device to transmit or read a written message. - Amends TCA Title 49.
