Summary

As introduced, exempts from the offense of criminal abortion an abortion that is performed or attempted by a licensed physician in a licensed hospital or ambulatory surgical treatment center on a patient who is under 13 years of age; requires the physician to confirm the patient's date of birth prior to performing or attempting to perform the abortion. - Amends TCA Title 37; Title 39; Title 63 and Title 68.
