A BILL TO AMEND CHAPTER 1, TITLE 15 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO CIVIL REMEDIES, BY ADDING SECTION 15-1-315 TO PROVIDE THAT A LICENSED DRIVER WHO VOLUNTARILY TRANSPORTS SENIORS OR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN AN INSURED VEHICLE IS NOT LIABLE BEYOND THE LIMITS OF HIS AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ACTS OR OMISSIONS RESULTING FROM THE RENDERING OF THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES IN THE ABSENSE OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILFUL MISCONDUCT.

Relating To Civil Remedies, By Adding Section 15-1-315 To Provide That A Licensed Driver Who Voluntarily Transports Seniors Or Persons With Disabilities In An Insured Vehicle Is Not Liable Beyond The Limits Of His Automobile Liability Insurance Coverage For Acts Or Omissions Resulting From The Rendering Of The Transportation Services In The Absense Of Gross Negligence Or Wilful Misconduct.
