A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 2-1-25 SO AS TO REQUIRE, BEGINNING WITH THE REAPPORTIONMENT OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AFTER THE DECENNIAL CENSUS OF 2010, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO REAPPORTION ITSELF SO THAT A HOUSE DISTRICT MUST BE WHOLLY CONTAINED WITHIN A COUNTY IF THE COUNTY HAS SUFFICIENT POPULATION, AND TO REQUIRE ALL DISTRICTS TO BE WHOLLY CONTAINED WITHIN EACH REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT.

Require, Beginning With The Reapportionment Of The House Of Representatives After The Decennial Census Of 2010, The House Of Representatives To Reapportion Itself So That A House District Must Be Wholly Contained Within A County If The County Has Sufficient Population, And To Require All Districts To Be Wholly Contained Within Each Regional Council Of Government.
