A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 6-1-180 SO AS TO PROHIBIT A MUNICIPALITY OR COUNTY, OR A UNIT OR AGENCY OF IT, FROM IMPOSING A FEE OR SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS OR EXPENSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF RESPONDING TO A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONS, AND TO PERMIT A UNIT OF GOVERNMENT TO SEEK TO COLLECT FROM ANOTHER UNIT OF GOVERNMENT THE REASONABLE COSTS INCURRED FOR RESPONDING TO A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT OUTSIDE ITS JURISDICTION.
