A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-1-287 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT BEFORE A PERSON'S DRIVER'S LICENSE MAY BE SUSPENDED FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN INSURANCE ON A MOTOR VEHICLE OR OPERATING AN UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLE, THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES MUST NOTIFY THE PERSON BY CERTIFIED MAIL THAT HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE WILL BE SUSPENDED.
