AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-43-190 SO AS TO REQUIRE THE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS TO ISSUE A WRITTEN PROTOCOL AUTHORIZING PHARMACISTS TO ADMINISTER INFLUENZA VACCINES AND CERTAIN MEDICATIONS WITHOUT AN ORDER OF A PRACTITIONER AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONTENTS OF THE PROTOCOL; AND BY ADDING SECTION 40-43-200 SO AS TO CREATE A JOINT PHARMACIST ADMINISTERED INFLUENZA VACCINES COMMITTEE UNDER THE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS AND TO PROVIDE FOR ITS MEMBERS, POWERS, AND DUTIES, INCLUDING ASSISTING THE BOARD IN ESTABLISHING A WRITTEN PROTOCOL AUTHORIZING PHARMACISTS TO ADMINISTER INFLUENZA VACCINES WITHOUT AN ORDER OF A PRACTITIONER. - ratified title
