INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, OCTOBER 5, 2010
A RESOLUTION
Designating October 2010 as "National Association of Insurance
and Financial Advisors, Pennsylvania Chapter, Month" in
Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Today's economic hardships underscore the importance
of planning ahead in meeting personal and family financial
needs, as well as business needs, often by purchasing a life
insurance, annuity or investment product; and
WHEREAS, Consumers and businesses alike need valid and
substantive advice and guidance to help them choose the most
suitable life insurance and financial investment products; and
WHEREAS, Licensed professional members of the National
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in Pennsylvania
and its predecessor, the Pennsylvania Association of Life
Underwriters, have endeavored to meet that need since 1896; and
WHEREAS, The code of ethics of the organization stresses
integrity, professionalism and education to help consumers

manage their resources while urging members to "hold my
profession in high esteem," "to fulfill the needs of my clients"
and "to render exemplary service to my clients and their
beneficiaries"; and
WHEREAS, The National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors, Pennsylvania Chapter, members have stood in the
forefront of those advocating a strong and vibrant State
regulatory system of insurance; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
month of October 2010 as "National Association of Insurance and
Financial Advisors, Pennsylvania Chapter, Month" in
Pennsylvania; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors,
Pennsylvania Chapter.
