AN ACT

  

1

Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the

2

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for parole of

3

offenders and sexually violent predators.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

7

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8

§ 9799.10.  Parole of offenders and sexually violent predators.

9

No offender or sexually violent predator shall be paroled

10

from a State or county correctional institution until the

11

offender has secured a residence and can provide its address to

12

the Pennsylvania State Police. If offenders and sexually violent

13

predators are unable to secure a residence, the Department of

14

Corrections and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole

15

shall provide reasonable assistance in securing a residence.

16

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
