AN ACT

Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An

2

act relating to the public school system, including certain

3

provisions applicable as well to private and parochial

4

schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the

5

laws relating thereto," further providing for collective

6

bargaining and employee contract reporting by school

7

districts.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

9

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known

11

as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding sections

12

to read:

Section 528.  Board of School Directors to Report Employe

14

Agreements Prior to Adoption.--(a)  The board of school

15

directors of each school entity as defined in section 1101-A

16

shall submit a report detailing the tentative agreement for

17

public inspection and duplication to all persons who may

18

interest themselves, at least fifteen (15) days prior to voting

19

on a school employe contract.

(b)  Fees for duplication as provided in subsection (a) shall

be consistent with section 687(a)(2)(ii).

(c)  Contracts as provided in section 1121 shall be subject

3

to the provisions of this section.

Section 1128-A.  Reporting of Agreements Prior to Adoption.--

5

If at any time during contract negotiations the board of school

6

directors votes on an agreement in accordance with this article,

7

that agreement shall be reported according to section 528(a).

8

Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
