  FREEMAN, MCLANE, RICHARDSON

  Whereas August D. Singler dedicated his life to public service;
and
  Whereas August D. Singler was Jackson County Sheriff from
January 1913 to April 1913; and
  Whereas August D. Singler died in the line of duty after being
shot on April 22, 1913, while attempting to serve a warrant on a
man; and
  Whereas August D. Singler paid the ultimate price in service to
his community; and
  Whereas April 23, 2013, is the 100th anniversary of August
D. Singler's death; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
  Oregon:

  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the
Seventy-seventh Legislative Assembly, honor August D. Singler for
his service to the people of Jackson County, Oregon, on the 100th
anniversary of his death.
