  Increases penalty for crime of riot to maximum of 10 years'
imprisonment, $250,000 fine, or both.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to crime; amending ORS 166.015.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1. ORS 166.015 is amended to read:
  166.015. (1) A person commits the crime of riot if { + , + }
while participating with five or more other persons { + , + } the
person engages in tumultuous and violent conduct and thereby
intentionally or recklessly creates a grave risk of causing
public alarm.
  (2) Riot is a Class   { - C - }   { + B + } felony.
