                     CHAPTER ................

                             AN ACT

Relating to county audits; amending ORS 297.515; and declaring an
  emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

  SECTION 1. ORS 297.515 is amended to read:
  297.515. The audits of counties required under ORS 297.425
shall include   { - circuit and - }  justice courts, their
officers and employees, district attorneys and their employees,
sheriffs, constables and all other officers and officials elected
by the residents of a county or appointed by an official elected
by the residents of a county and transacting public business.
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
