A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to assistant attorneys general; amending ORS 243.736. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. ORS 243.736 is amended to read: 243.736. (1) It is unlawful for any of the following public employees to strike or recognize a picket line of a labor organization while in the performance of official duties: { + (a) Assistant attorneys general; + } { - (a) - } { + (b) + } Deputy district attorneys; { - (b) - } { + (c) + } Emergency telephone worker; { - (c) - } { + (d) + } Employee of the Oregon Youth Authority who has custody, control or supervision of youth offenders; { - (d) - } { + (e) + } Firefighter; { - (e) - } { + (f) + } Guard at a correctional institution or mental hospital; { - (f) - } { + (g) + } Parole and probation officer who supervises adult offenders; and { - (g) - } { + (h) + } Police officer. (2) As used in this section, 'emergency telephone worker ' means a person whose official focal duties are receiving information through a 9-1-1 emergency reporting system under ORS 403.105 to 403.250, relaying the information to public or private safety agencies or dispatching emergency equipment or personnel in response to the information. ----------
