Directs each minor political party to ensure by rule that at least ten percent of party members participate in party's nominating process. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to political parties; amending ORS 248.005. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. ORS 248.005 is amended to read: 248.005. { + (1) + } Each political party by rule shall { - insure - } { + ensure + } the widest and fairest representation of party members in the party organization and activities. { + (2) Each minor political party by rule shall ensure that at least ten percent of party members participate in the party's nominating process.
