SUMMARY

Requires Director of Department of Consumer and Business
Services to adopt amendments to state building code establishing
mechanical insulation standards applicable to industrial
buildings.

A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to energy efficiency; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + In addition to any amendments adopted under the
provisions of ORS 455.500, 455.505 and 455.511, the Director of
the Department of Consumer and Business Services shall adopt
amendments to the state building code under ORS 455.030 to
increase energy efficiency in industrial buildings by
establishing mechanical insulation standards applicable to all
industrial buildings in this state. + }
SECTION 2. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
