Summary

Removes requirement that Higher Education Coordinating Commission's annual evaluation of public universities include annual evaluation of each university. Requires that each university be evaluated by commission once every two years. Removes April 1 deadline for public universities to submit biennial funding request to commission. Requires commission to submit budget request including funding for any activities public universities are allowed or required by law to perform. Permits public universities to disclose student Social Security number if required by law to do so. Requires public university governing boards to meet four times per year rather than quarterly. Permits Governor to stagger terms of members of public university governing boards. Removes statutory references to both universities with governing boards and universities without governing boards.
