Summary

Establishes Oregon Student Information Protection Act. Establishes task force to make recommendations regarding protection of privacy of students using education software.] Sunsets task force on date of convening of 2017 regular session of Legislative Assembly.] Declares emergency, effective on passage.] Prescribes prohibited, required and allowed activities of operator of Internet website, online service, online application or mobile application in relation to certain personal information related to students in any grade from kindergarten through grade 12. Makes violations of Act unlawful practice. Takes effect July 1, 2016.
