Summary
Designates portion of U.S. Highway 26 within Warm Springs Reservation as Warm Springs Veterans Memorial Highway. Directs Oregon State Lottery Commission to establish lottery game to benefit veterans' education and economic development.Ù Directs Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development to establish program to provide or facilitate education, training and economic opportunities that benefit veterans. Establishes Veterans' Lottery Fund. Continuously appropriates moneys in fund to Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development for purposes of program.Ù Allocates revenues from veteran-related lottery game to Veterans' Lottery Fund.Ù Permits private, nonpublic employer to give preference in hiring and promotion of employees to members of uniformed service, uniformed service veterans, spouses of permanently and totally disabled uniformed service veterans and widows and widowers of uniformed service veterans. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
