Summary
Allows certain employers to permit employees to work more than 60 hours in one workweek to cover for employee absences. Allows certain employers to request or permit employees to work more than 60 hours in one workweek to account for sporadic increases in product demand. Exempts employees performing maintenance activities from restrictions on maximum workweek hours. Clarifies beginning of workweek for purposes of calculating weekly hours worked. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
