| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Tom McNutt on his retirement after twenty-three years of loyal service to NBC4; and |
| WHEREAS, Tom McNutt is, indeed, a remarkable individual, for he has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in his field. He is the author of the book, Tom's Green Thumb - Advice To Grow On In A (Mc)Nutt Shell, and numerous magazine and newspaper articles, and as the station's local garden expert, he has provided viewers of the weekend edition of NBC4Today with information and advice. In addition, he is the president and chief executive officer of KaTaTim, Inc., executive director of the Ohio Agricultural Council, and executive coordinator of the Ohio Council of Cooperatives, and he has hosted farm, flower, and garden tours all over the world; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Tom McNutt has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Indeed, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of conscientious people such as Tom McNutt that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine efforts; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Tom McNutt on his retirement and extend best wishes for health and happiness in the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tom McNutt. |
