A RESOLUTION | Honoring William J. Bauer II as the 2012 ODRC Correction Officer of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate William J. Bauer II on receiving the 2012 Ronald C. Marshall Award as Correction Officer of the Year from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable individual, William Bauer has combined civic concern and dedication with the utmost professionalism to become a dynamic leader in his field, and this prestigious accolade is a fitting tribute to him for his exemplary efforts at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, where he was named Officer of the Month for July 2011 and Officer of the Year for 2012. Commencing his tenure in 2000 and currently assigned to first shift in the bid post for the metal detector at Control Center 3, he is the facility's assistant coordinator of Oleoresin Capsicum and a member of the Special Response Team and the Weapons and Reducing Prison Violence committees, and he has served with the ODRC Special Tactics and Response Team; and |
| WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, William Bauer has worked tirelessly to better the world around him, and he has earned the respect and esteem of many. Through his admirable devotion to service and achievement, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and we applaud him on his tremendous efforts; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, William Bauer has willingly given of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, and he has striven to better the world around him. We are certain that in the years to come, he will continue to display the same unwavering commitment to excellence for which he has become known, and he is truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend William J. Bauer II on his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to William J. Bauer II. |
