| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mapleside Farms on being selected as America's Most Beautiful Farm in a contest sponsored by Choose Outdoors; and |
| WHEREAS, One of ten farms and ranches nominated from across the country, Mapleside Farms is deserving of this prestigious honor, for it has consistently promoted outdoor recreation and active lifestyles and set an example of achievement worthy of emulation. Founded more than eighty years ago, the farm consists of a one-hundred-acre apple orchard and a pumpkin patch, and it has set an example of agritourism by annually hosting numerous events and community attractions, including a corn maze, hayrides, an inflatable jumping pillow, wine tastings, and various festivals. Indeed, the farm has significantly improved the quality of life for countless citizens throughout the area and has served as a true source of community pride; and |
| WHEREAS, The managers and staff of Mapleside Farms have epitomized America's entrepreneurial spirit, and it is through the contributions of individuals such as these that the State of Ohio remains a pleasant place in which to live and work. We are certain that in the years to come, owners Greg and Kelly Clement, as well as the dedicated individuals whom they employ, will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been the hallmark of Mapleside Farms; and |
| WHEREAS, Agriculture is the backbone of this state's economy, and it is truly encouraging to know that the future of Ohio agriculture lies, to a large extent, in the capable hands of conscientious individuals such as the all those associated with Mapleside Farms, who have worked hard to attract interest to the outdoors. We applaud them on their tremendous efforts; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mapleside Farms for exemplary attainment and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mapleside Farms. |
