A RESOLUTION
Honoring Andrew Appleby as a 2013 Division I State Swimming and Diving Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Andrew Appleby on placing first in the 100-yard backstroke event at the 2013 Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships; and

       WHEREAS,  A senior at Cuyahoga Falls High School, Andrew Appleby has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. He had prepared conscientiously in pursuit of the state crown, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning, and consequently, he won first place in the 100-yard backstroke event at this year's Division I State meet; and 

       WHEREAS,  Andrew Appleby can be justly proud of his athletic accomplishments. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly worthy of admiration; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to commend Andrew Appleby on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience that he has gained through his participation in sports will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we applaud Andrew Appleby on his outstanding performance in state competition and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Andrew Appleby.
