| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Chapter of the American Constitution Society on being named Student Chapter of the Year at the 2014 ACS National Convention; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the OSU Moritz College of Law Chapter of ACS are a remarkable group of young men and women, for they have demonstrated exceptional diligence and enthusiasm, as well as an unwavering dedication to the goals and principles of the American Constitution Society. At this year's ACS National Convention, the college organization was named Student Chapter of the Year for its achievements during the school year, including holding nearly forty events, developing a relationship with the Columbus Lawyer Chapter of ACS, and increasing its membership, and it also received the Programming Award. The students have certainly displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of the OSU Moritz College of Law Chapter of ACS is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its past president, Derek Clinger. The accomplishments of the chapter are a justifiable source of pride not only for the students but also for their families, their school, and their community; and |
| WHEREAS, By participating in American Constitution Society activities, the members of the OSU Moritz College of Law Chapter of ACS have had the opportunity to develop and express their abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. We applaud these fine individuals for their exemplary work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Chapter of the American Constitution Society on its recent accolades and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
