A RESOLUTION

Honoring International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 on the occasion of its Seventy-fifth Anniversary.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 on its Seventy-fifth Anniversary; and

       WHEREAS,  Over the past three-quarters of a century, the members of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 have consistently demonstrated exemplary professionalism and expertise, as well as an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest ideals of its parent organization. IUOE works to serve and protect the needs and interests of operating engineers and their families, and the accomplishments of Local 18 are truly praiseworthy; and 

       WHEREAS,  Due to the tremendous effort and initiative its members have displayed, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. This special anniversary offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the organization's past achievements and to look with optimism to the future; and

       WHEREAS,  It is not surprising that International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 has attained widespread recognition, for it has met and exceeded the expectations of its members. Indeed, it exemplifies the essence of the American spirit and sets the standard to which other such labor unions can aspire; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 on seventy-five years of service and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18.
