A RESOLUTION

Honoring Sheri Duffey as the American Correctional Association Warden of the Year.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Sheri Duffey on being named the Warden of the Year by the American Correctional Association; and

       WHEREAS,  Selection for this distinction is an honor of which Sheri Duffey can be proud, for she was chosen for her diligence, enthusiasm, and sterling work ethic, as well as her unwavering dedication to excellence. The warden of the Southeastern Correctional Institution, she has established several innovative initiatives to assist in the rehabilitation of offenders, including composting, waste sorting, and fish-farm programs, and her efforts have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which she has been involved. We applaud her on her tremendous work; and 

       WHEREAS,  The exceptional manner in which Sheri Duffey has fulfilled her myriad responsibilities has earned her the respect and gratitude of her peers and of the community she has so capably served. She is certainly to be commended for her superior performance on the job and for her commitment to carrying out her duties; and

       WHEREAS,  At a time when many people are content to take a passive role in life, Sheri Duffey has chosen a vocation through which she has ensured the well-being of her fellow citizens. This accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her colleagues, her staff, and her community; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Sheri Duffey on her personal success and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sheri Duffey.
