A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team as a 2013 national drill team champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team on tying for first place at the 2013 National Cadet Competition; and

       WHEREAS,  The Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team is worthy of recognition for its outstanding performance at this year's National Cadet Competition. Vying with top teams from several states, the team won first place in the written examination, standard drill, and volleyball tournament, second place in the innovative drill and team mile run, third place in the in-ranks inspection, and fifth place in the panel quiz to claim a share of the championship, becoming the first team from Ohio to win this contest; and 

       WHEREAS,  A talented group of individuals, the members of the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team have devoted countless hours to rigorous training and study in order to be in peak mental and physical condition, and as a result, they have distinguished themselves as one of the finest cadet units in the country. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their coaches, Major William Hrinko, Jr., and First Lieutenant Diana Beatty, on their station, and on their community; and

       WHEREAS,  An achievement such as this demonstrates a strong sense of duty, love of country, and dedication to the ideals of our nation on the part of the members and leaders of the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team. It is through the hard work, skills, and sacrifices of Americans like these that the United States remains a proud, strong, and respected nation, and they are truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team on its remarkable success and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron 051 drill team.
