A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team on winning the 2011 FFA State General Livestock Judging Contest.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team as the 2011 FFA State General Livestock Judging Champion; and

       WHEREAS,  Under the leadership of their advisors, the members of the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team won the 2011 FFA State General Livestock Judging Contest. Members Colt Penwell, Jamie Payton, Austin Chester, Trevor Kirkpatrick, Garrett Reed, and Tanner Mick have worked diligently to achieve success, and being ranked the top chapter in the state for general livestock judging is a testament to their commitment to this fine organization; and 

       WHEREAS,  Throughout the school year, the members of the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team have shown a sincere desire to fully develop their knowledge and skills so that they might fulfill their goals, and this, coupled with their maturity and initiative, illustrates their potential to become some of tomorrow's leaders. Indeed, they have set an example of excellence that is worthy of emulation; and

       WHEREAS,  Through participation in FFA, the members of the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team will be better prepared to become productive members of our complex and ever-changing society. The maturity and experience they have gained through their involvement in this program will not only enrich their educational careers but also enable them to make better-informed decisions as they assume the responsibilities of adult citizenship; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team on its state championship and salute its members and advisors as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Miami Trace High School FFA general livestock judging team.
