| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team on winning the 2013 Ohio High School Lacrosse Association Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Golden Bears worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they defeated a tough Dublin Jerome team by the score of 7-6 and secured this year's OHSLA Division I State Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, All those associated with the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their prowess is reflected in their outstanding success. Indeed, the players have established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these notable athletes and their extraordinary coach, Ted Wolford, for a job well done. The maturity and experience the players have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team on its tremendous season and salute its members and coach as fine Ohioans; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team. |
