        Introduced  by  Sen.  PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on  Energy  and  Telecommuni-
          cations

        AN  ACT to amend the public service law, in relation to requiring cellu-
          lar telephone companies and third- party service providers to  provide
          plans  to  the  public  service commission to make all cell towers one
          hundred percent renewable energy powered by 2030

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The public service law is amended by adding a new section
     2  92-j to read as follows:
     3    § 92-j. Cell towers; renewable energy.   Notwithstanding section  five
     4  of this chapter or any other law to the contrary, no later than December
     5  thirty-first,  two  thousand twenty-four, any cellular telephone company
     6  or third-party service provider who  operates  cell  towers  within  the
     7  state  shall  provide  plans  to the commission to make all cell towers,
     8  maintained and constructed by such company or  service  provider  within
     9  the  state, one hundred percent renewable energy powered by two thousand
    10  thirty.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
