STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 8441 IN SENATE March 1, 2022 ___________ Introduced by Sen. JORDAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT to amend the family court act, in relation to increasing the number of family court judges in Saratoga county The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision (g) of section 131 of the family court act, as 2 amended by chapter 572 of the laws of 1984, is amended to read as 3 follows: 4 (g) There shall be a separate office of judge of the family court for 5 the counties of Oswego and Sullivan and the compensation payable for 6 each such separate office of judge of the family court shall be twenty- 7 five thousand dollars per annum. In the county of Saratoga there shall 8 be [an] two additional family court [judge] judges and the number of 9 such judges now existing in such county is hereby increased accordingly. 10 The compensation of such additional family court judge shall be the same 11 as the compensation of the existing family court judge in such county. 12 § 2.
