STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7901 IN SENATE January 18, 2022 ___________ Introduced by Sen. MARTUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming transportation contracts for the Liberty Central school district The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken 2 or caused to be had and taken by the Liberty Central School District and 3 by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to 4 or in connection with transportation contract E277215 of the 2020-2021 5 school year, and all acts incidental hereto are hereby legalized, vali- 6 dated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply 7 with the contract award, approval and filing provisions of the education 8 law, the general municipal law or any other law or any other statutory 9 authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing provisions 10 defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education 11 law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or ille- 12 gality in such proceeding had and taken. 13 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the 14 aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- 15 gations of the Liberty Central School District. 16 § 3.
