        Introduced  by  Sen.  FARLEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance
        AN ACT to amend the New York state printing and public documents law, in
          relation to accessibility of certain agency reports
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1. Section 12 of the New York state printing and public docu-
     2  ments law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
     3    5. The state library and legislative library shall develop  and  main-
     4  tain  a  public  webpage,  accessible  through the websites of the state
     5  library, senate and assembly, which  provides  access  to  viewable  and
     6  downloadable  copies of those agency reports which are required by state
     7  law to be submitted to the legislature as specified in subdivision  four
     8  of this section. Such agencies shall provide an electronic copy of their
     9  reports  to  the state library and legislative library in formats speci-
    10  fied by such libraries.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become  a
    12  law.
