STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7428 IN SENATE January 17, 2018 ___________ Introduced by Sen. FELDER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT making an appropriation to pay Jennifer Simanowitz, widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, member of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2017 The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The sum of twenty-nine thousand five hundred thirty-eight 2 dollars and forty-two cents ($29,538.42) is hereby appropriated out of 3 any moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to the credit of 4 the state purposes account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to 5 Jennifer Simanowitz, the widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, member 6 of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district, who died on the second 7 day of September, 2017, for the balance due of the unpaid annual compen- 8 sation which would have been earned by him had he continued to live and 9 serve as such member until the 31st day of December, 2017. The amount 10 hereby appropriated shall be payable to Jennifer Simanowitz on the audit 11 and warrant of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the 12 manner prescribed by law. 13 § 2.
