STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 4621 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN SENATE February 8, 2021 ___________ Introduced by Sen. COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to requiring the metropolitan transportation authority to file a report detailing the amount of money spent on outside consultants The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The opening paragraph of section 1269-e of the public 2 authorities law, as added by section 13 of part H of chapter 25 of the 3 laws of 2009, is amended and a new subparagraph B is added to read as 4 follows: 5 A. The authority shall submit to the governor, the temporary president 6 of the senate and the speaker of the assembly, no later than thirty days 7 following the submission of the annual independent audit report pursuant 8 to section twenty-eight hundred two of this chapter, a complete detailed 9 report or reports setting forth, to the extent such matters are not 10 fully addressed in the annual independent audit report, the following: 11 B. The authority shall submit to the governor, the temporary president 12 of the senate and the speaker of the assembly a report detailing the 13 amount of money spent on outside consultants including but not limited 14 to research firms or law firms. Such report shall be filed quarterly on 15 or before the first of the month succeeding the end of the quarter in 16 which such money was spent. 17 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
