STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 4396 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE February 13, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. MURPHY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to the portion of the state highway system known as the "Marine Corporal James J. Jackowski Memo- rial Highway" The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 344-e of the highway law, as added by chapter 370 2 of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows: 3 § 344-e. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the 4 "Marine [Lance] Corporal James J. Jackowski Memorial Highway". All that 5 portion of the state highway system constituting state route thirty-five 6 in the town of Lewisboro, county of Westchester, beginning at the inter- 7 section of state route thirty-five and state route one hundred twenty- 8 four, continuing in a generally easterly direction on state route thir- 9 ty-five, and terminating at the intersection of state route thirty-five 10 and Ridgefield avenue, shall be designated and known as the "Marine 11 [Lance] Corporal James J. Jackowski Memorial Highway". 12 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD06540-01-7
