GRIFFO, CROCI, VALESKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommunications -- recommitted to the Committee on Energy and Telecommunications in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- commit- tee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recom- mitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to certain reports of the New York state energy and research development authori- ty The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 1867 of the public authorities law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 8 to read as follows: 3 8. (a) For the purpose of furnishing the state with systematic infor- 4 mation regarding the status and the activities of the authority, the 5 authority shall submit to the governor, the members of the public 6 service commission, the temporary president of the senate, the speaker 7 of the assembly, the chair of the senate energy and telecommunications 8 committee, the chair of the assembly energy committee, the chair of the 9 senate finance committee, the chair of the assembly ways and means 10 committee, the ranking minority member of the senate energy and telecom- 11 munications committee, the ranking minority member of the assembly ener- 12 gy committee, the ranking minority member of the senate finance commit- 13 tee, and the ranking minority member of the assembly ways and means 14 committee no later than February first and September thirty-first of 15 every calendar year, a complete and detailed semi-annual report setting 16 forth the information described in paragraph (b) of this subdivision. 17 (b) The semi-annual report required pursuant to paragraph (a) of this 18 subdivision shall relate to the regional greenhouse gas initiative 19 program, including proceeds collected by the authority from the auction 20 or sale of emission allowances allocated by the department of environ- EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted.
