       AN ACT to amend the town law, in relation to permitting  fire  districts
         to form ambulance companies
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 176 of the town law is  amended  by  adding  a  new
    2  subdivision 10-a to read as follows:
    3    10-A.  MAY  ORGANIZE, OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND EQUIP AMBULANCE COMPANIES,
    4  INCLUDING THE PURCHASE OF UNIFORMS TO BE USED BY  THE  MEMBERS  OF  SUCH
    5  COMPANIES, AND PROVIDE FOR THE REMOVAL OF SUCH MEMBERS FOR CAUSE.
    6    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
