KLEIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Consumer Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to the sale of aerosol spray paint to persons under the age of eighteen THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section 2 399-i to read as follows: 3 S 399-I. SALE OF AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGH- 4 TEEN. 1. NO AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT CAN CONTAINING A FLUID THAT IS NOT WATER 5 SOLUBLE SHALL BE SOLD AT RETAIL WITHIN THE STATE TO PERSONS UNDER THE 6 AGE OF EIGHTEEN. 7 2. A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE PUNISHABLE BY A CIVIL PENALTY 8 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS. 9 S 2.
