AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to requiring every
keeper of a hotel or motel or inn to make condoms available for sale
to guests
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
2 204-b to read as follows:
3 S 204-B. SALE OF CONDOMS. EVERY KEEPER OF A HOTEL OR MOTEL OR INN
4 SHALL, IN THE REGISTRATION OFFICE, SELL OR OFFER FOR SALE TO REGISTERED
5 GUESTS OF SUCH HOTEL OR MOTEL OR INN CONDOMS OR SIMILAR PROPHYLACTIC
6 DEVICES DESIGNED TO PREVENT CONCEPTION OR VENEREAL INFECTION DURING
7 SEXUAL INTERCOURSE.
8 S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
9 have become a law.
